As the manager of Security Operations you will manage, plan, organize and evaluate the staff and activities of the 24X7 Security operations for Plainview and Syosset. You will also ensure protection and safeguarding of hospital property, personnel, patients and visitors. You will coordinate all access control and CCTV systems, oversee the Valet Parking Operation, and participate in administering the Performance Improvement Program. You will also supervise and evaluate the performance of staff.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manages Security staff and ensures the detection and prevention of crime. Enforce the policies of the hospital and provides emergency coverage when necessary.
- Coordinates and oversees the daily administration of the electronic security access control system, which includes perimeter doors, circuitry alarm systems, panic alarm activation and the integration of multiple CCTV's. Maintains the employee database containing access information for all new hires and terminations.
- Participates in establishing goals and objectives to ensure an efficient operation of the Security operations.
- Implements programs to achieve goals and maintain budgetary compliance.
- Participates in development of budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure operation within budget limitations.
- Guides staff in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting department services resulting in positive service, quality and cost outcomes.
- Monitors and coordinates work assignments and staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage at all times.
- Participates in the development of a strategic plan for the successful future of the security operations.
- Oversees the Valet Parking Operation
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of general security practices and/or operations management as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field, required.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in health care or related security environment with managerial training experience.
- Valid NYS Security Guard License, required.
